History and Expertise

Belmore Butchery (Yarrawonga's Award Winning Butcher) was founded in 2004 by Michael Dove and Lynda Bird.  However, they chose to take a new path in December 2009 and sold the business to their manager/butcher Matthew Craig and his wife Coral.

Matthew (Matt as you may know him) has been a butcher for nine years and worked with the Belmore Butchery team for five years before the big day of taking over the business.  He learned many skills of the business from Micheal and Lynda and hopes to keep the same quality of stock and service as they did.

Our Team

We have a staff of 3 full time and 5 part time local employee’s who have trained through local schools and are extremely passionate about quality food and customer service. We have just recently won the award for best straz in all of Victoria and was rated the fourth best ham in all of Victoria in the Sunday Herald Sun on the 20th of December.
